What plastics are used to make Re-Play

Re-Play products are made from two types of FDA approved food-grade recycled plastic. The majority of the products are made from HDPE (High Density Polyethylene), which comes from recycled milk containers. This has the Plastics Identification Code 2 and can be recycled in your yellow recycling bin when no longer needed to create more bottles and bags.

The flat plates and large bowls require a sturdier plastic so these are made out of recycled PP (Polypropylene) that comes from yoghurt containers etc. All the white products are also made from PP, which results in a brighter white than HDPE. PP has the Plastics Identification Code 5 and can also be recycled in your yellow recycling bin to create fibres.

How do I clean my Re-Play products?

Re-Play products are dishwasher safe. It is suggested that the silicone no-spill valves should be washed by hand using anti-bacterial soap and warm water.

Are Re-Play products BPA and Phthalate free?

Yes! The products are made from recycled polyethylene (HDPE) and polypropylene (PP). Some components are made from silicone. All of these materials are inherently free of BPA and phthalates. The company does not add either of these chemical elements to any of our products, and they do not manufacture the products in a way that would create these elements in the materials.

They conduct testing at independent third-party laboratories on all products on a regular basis to verify that the products are in compliance with applicable Federal and state regulations and standards for chemical composition.

Are Re-Play products microwave safe?

Yes! Re-Play products have been tested microwave safe. However, food cooked at high temperature in a microwave gets very hot and this may cause staining to the material, which is not covered under the company’s manufacturer warranty. We recommend microwaving no more than 20 seconds at a time.
