    3a. Advertising Data & Enhanced Conversions

    We use enhanced conversion tracking tools from Google and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) to measure and improve the performance of our advertising. Here's how that works.

    What data is collected

    When you complete a purchase or submit a form on our site, we may collect the following information for advertising measurement purposes:

    • Email address
    • Phone number
    • First and last name
    • Delivery address (street, city, state/territory, postcode, country)

    How this data is used

    Before this data is shared with our advertising partners, it's hashed — converted into an anonymised, non-reversible format that can't be used to identify you. It's used solely to measure whether our advertising campaigns led to a purchase or other action on our site, and to improve future campaign performance.

    Google Enhanced Conversions

    We use Google's Enhanced Conversions feature, which sends hashed customer data to Google to improve the accuracy of conversion measurement. Google processes this data in line with its own Privacy Policy. You can manage or opt out of personalised Google advertising anytime via Google's Ad Settings.

    Meta Advanced Matching & Conversions API (CAPI)

    We use Meta's Advanced Matching and Conversions API to share hashed customer data with Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram) for advertising measurement and optimisation. Meta processes this data in line with its own Privacy Policy. You can manage your preferences via your Facebook Ad Preferences settings.

    Legal basis for processing

    We process this data based on our legitimate interest in measuring and optimising our advertising. Where required by law — for example, for customers in the EU or UK — we'll obtain your consent via our cookie consent banner before any data is shared with advertising platforms.

    Data retention

    Hashed data shared with Google and Meta is subject to each platform's own retention policies. We don't retain raw personal data collected solely for advertising measurement beyond what's needed to complete the transmission.

    Physical products are delivered by Australia Post or another trusted carrier. Please allow 2–14 days depending on your location.

    International shipping to New Zealand is charged at a separate international rate, and our free shipping threshold doesn't apply.

    Digital products are delivered instantly via email.

    We're not responsible for delivery delays or damage caused by third parties, but we'll always help where we can.


    6. Returns & Exchanges

    We comply with Australian Consumer Law. We want you to love your Coastal Kidswear purchase — if something isn't quite right, we're here to help.

    Returns timeframe

    Please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order if you'd like to return or exchange an item.

    Eligibility

    To qualify for a return, items must be:

    • Unused and unwashed
    • In their original packaging, with tags still attached
    • In resellable condition

    We can't accept returns on:

    • Sale or clearance items (unless faulty)
    • Personalised products (unless faulty)
    • Accidental breakage
    • Gift cards
    • Digital products

    Personalised products are made exactly to the information entered at checkout, so please double-check spelling carefully before ordering — we can't offer refunds or exchanges for errors once production has started.

    All products remain subject to the manufacturer's warranty where applicable.

    Exchanges

    Happy to exchange an item for a different size or style, subject to stock availability. Just send the original item back and we will send out the replacement.  Postage is at your expense.  

    Return shipping

    Return postage is at your expense unless the item is faulty or we made an error. We recommend using a trackable shipping method.

    Refunds

    Once we've received and inspected your return, we'll process your refund to your original payment method. Please allow 3–5 business days.

    Faulty or incorrect items

    If your item is faulty, damaged, or not what you ordered, email us as soon as possible with your order number and a clear photo of the issue, and we'll sort it out quickly. Warranty replacements are sent to the address we have on file for your most recent order, unless you let us know otherwise.

    7. Limitation of Liability

    To the fullest extent permitted under Australian law, our liability is limited to one of the following, at our discretion:

    • Replacement of goods
    • Re-supply of services
    • A full or partial refund

    Purchasers must be 18 years or older.


    8. Exclusion of Competitors

    If you're a competitor — a retailer or service provider in the same industry — you're not permitted to access or use our content, products, or services for commercial purposes. Breaching this condition may result in legal action.


    9. Retail Purchases & Bulk Order Limits

    Coastal Kidswear is a retail store and isn't set up for wholesale purchasing through this website.

    Orders placed through our online store are intended for personal, non-commercial use. Orders containing multiple units of the same product design and colour may be reviewed before fulfilment.

    To keep shipping costs accurate, stock levels fair, and dispatch times fast:

    • Orders of more than 6 units of the same product design and colour should be confirmed with us before you place your order
    • Orders placed without prior confirmation may be cancelled and refunded at our discretion if they appear to be bulk or wholesale-style, or if they incur excessive shipping costs
    • Refunds for cancelled bulk orders will be processed to the original payment method, in line with Shopify and payment gateway requirements

    10. Governing Law

    These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and any disputes will be resolved under Queensland jurisdiction.
