Thermos® FUNtainer® Stainless Steel Food Jar – Care & Use Instructions

Congratulations on choosing a genuine Thermos® FUNtainer®! With the right care, your food jar will give you years of reliable use.

General Care

• Wash and rinse all parts thoroughly before first use.

• After each use, wash all parts with warm, soapy water, rinse well, and allow to dry completely.

• Do not leave contents inside for more than 24 hours.

• Avoid abrasive cleaners, bleach, or chlorine-based products – they may damage the finish.

• This product is top-rack dishwasher safe, but hand washing is recommended for the best results and to maintain the product’s appearance.

• For maximum temperature retention, pre-heat or pre-chill for 5–10 minutes before use:

  • Hot water for hot foods

  • Cold water for chilled foods

Assembly & Use

1. Twist lid counterclockwise to remove.

2. Remove the O-ring gasket from the underside of the lid.

3. Wash all parts separately, then reassemble gasket flat side to lid, ensuring it’s seated properly to minimise leaks.

4. Fill the container, leaving space at the top to avoid overflow.

5. Twist lid clockwise to close securely.

Cleaning Tips

• Use warm water and mild dishwashing liquid after each use.

• Do not fully immerse in water – clean with a soft cloth or sponge.

• For stubborn stains, fill with hot water and 1 tsp bicarbonate soda, leave overnight with lid off, then rinse thoroughly.

• Always dry completely before storing, and store with the lid off to prevent odors.

• If food has been stored for an extended time, open carefully away from face in case pressure has built up.

• Do not force open. If the lid cannot be opened, dispose of the item safely.
